Built to
take ownership.
Tyan Construction has expanded from specialist retail work into a broad construction operation with 55 employees and a 4,800m² Johannesburg base.
one standard
A wider team for wider project responsibility.
Tyan Construction was formed by Tyrone Gerber and steadily grew into a multi-disciplinary building company. In its earlier years, the company concentrated heavily on remodelling and building KFC franchises, completing work across 198 franchise locations.
That retail experience became a platform for expansion into general building and shop fitting. The acquisition of an existing shop-fitting business broadened Tyan's practical capability even further.
In 2005, Tyan acquired a 4,800m² workshop and office in Booysens, Johannesburg. The larger base supported a one-stop approach that brings electrical, ceilings, partitions, shop fitting, general building and other services together under one contractor.
More work under one team.
Reducing unnecessary hand-offs gives clients a clearer line of responsibility across the project.
Built around timing.
Store refurbishment experience makes sequencing and precise reopening windows part of Tyan's operational DNA.
Clients stay in the loop.
Tyan's stated commitment is a more personal working relationship with client involvement through each stage.
A business that kept
adding capability.
The story is not just how long Tyan has operated; it is how the company evolved into a broader delivery platform.
